Next we will present several recipes for homemade flavorings. Keep reading us.
pine flavoring
To prepare this flavoring, you only need a few pine twigs, which we then boil with some cinnamon sticks and cloves.
Once it breaks into a boil, let it cool and pour it into a glass jar, we can also decorate it with a bow and leave it in the bathroom or wherever we like.
Fabric freshener with essential oils
It is better to prepare small amounts of a spray and try various fragrance mixes rather than mixing a large amount of input. Let’s start with a recipe for 100 ml:
Ingredients and utensils:
- 70 ml distilled water or filtered and boiled tap water
- 30 ml of alcohol (you can use an alcohol with more than 40 degrees, for example, vodka or pomace)
- 20-30 drops of essential oils depending on what you want to achieve (you will find the appropriate oils and their effects below)
- A sufficiently large, sterilized glass bottle with a sprayer.
Elaboration:
Pour the water and rubbing alcohol into the spray bottle.
Add the essential oils.
Cap the bottle and shake the mixture vigorously.
Shake the spray before each use. Thanks to the alcohol that has a preservative function, the spray can be used for several weeks.
fruit flavoring
Ingredients
Jar (you can reuse one of those glass jars that we usually keep once finished)
natural fruit extract / fresh fruit (2 or 3 pieces will suffice)
You can also combine it with other ingredients: aromatic herbs, vanilla essence, tea tree…
How to prepare it:
Fresh fruit or natural fruit extract: To begin with, we must place all the ingredients in the same saucepan or container to heat them. Fill a pot with water, put it on the fire with several slices of the fruit you want (or the extract of the chosen fruit) and boil! Once ready, pour everything into the jar and pierce the lid to perfume the entire room.
Some options you can try
Lemon air freshener: Add a small spoonful of vanilla, and if you dare, also put a couple of sprigs of rosemary or mint
Lime air freshener: With thyme it is great, but also a couple of sprigs of spearmint or mint will do wonders
Orange air freshener: Some of the ingredients that go very well with orange can be, for example, cinnamon, anise, almond oil, ginger and even a little pepper.
Orange and cinnamon flavoring
Ingredients
– 1 orange
– 1 tsp clove
– 2 cinnamon sticks
– 1 tbsp star anise
-1 tsp allspice
Preparation
– Cut the orange into slices and place them in a jar. Add the other ingredients and fill the jar with water.
Homemade car air freshener:
Cut your favorite shape out of cardboard (a tree, a flower or a star) and cover it with a pretty fabric.
Add to the fabric a few drops of the essential oil that you like the most, for example orange, eucalyptus, vanilla, etc.
Make a hole in the upper part of the shape you have made and place the thread or ribbon to tie it to the mirror so that it hangs and ambiences the entire car.
The aroma can last up to a month, when you notice that it is getting lost you can add more essential oil.
homemade gel air freshener
In a small pot, bring a cup of water to a boil. Dissolve a box (85 grams) of gelatin and 4 tablespoons of salt in the hot water, then add a cup of cold water, plus 10-20 drops of your favorite essential oil and a little food coloring (optional).
Pour the mixture into recycled glass jars. If you want, you can add decorative elements such as dried flowers. Let them rest in the refrigerator for 24 hours. Cover the jars with a pretty fabric and tie it with a ribbon. Your homemade flavoring is now ready! It will last approximately 2-4 weeks.
nail air freshener
Cloves are known for the flavor they add to foods. However, the smell of this spice is also used to give a better aroma to the home through home air fresheners.
Mix cloves with orange peel, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, and ginger.
Cook these ingredients over low heat for a few minutes.
After it is cold put the mixture in a spray bottle, and spread it over the whole house.
You can do it on the furniture, since there is no possibility of staining it.
Homemade flavoring for the kitchen

- 1 plastic bottle
- 1 wooden stick
- 3 lemon peels
- 1 tbsp clove
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp lavender oil (optional)
- ½ liter of water
Process
Place all the ingredients in a previously washed plastic bottle and stir very well. Let stand for a few hours or even for a few days so that the aroma concentrates. You can add more lemon peel and concentrate the smell of this powerful citrus.

refrigerator air freshener
Cut an orange in half and remove the fruit, leaving the peels whole. Coat the inside of the shells with packed salt. Put them on a plate and leave them in the refrigerator until they start to rot; then throw them away, wash the plate and start again.
air freshener with fabric softener
If you’re looking for a long-lasting air freshener and love the smell of clean, freshly washed clothes, you’ll love this air freshener with fabric softener. To prepare it you need three caps of fabric softener, a glass of water, three teaspoons of baking soda and a spray bottle.
Add the baking soda to the water first and stir until well dissolved. Next, pour it into the sprayer and add the fabric softener. Close the container and shake it to mix. You can use it anywhere in the house or to scent curtains, bedspreads and sofas.
