Ingredients
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/3 cup refined or regular sugar
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder (equivalent to one tablespoon plus one teaspoon)
- 1½ to 2 tablespoons Cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon salted or unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon of essence to taste (vanilla, coconut, etc.)
- 1/8 teaspoon instant coffee (optional)
- 1 pinch of salt (if the butter is unsalted)
Preparation of the chocolate pudding recipe
Step 1: Mingle
Mix the dry ingredients well, that is, the sugar, the cocoa, the Cornstarch, the butter, the salt and the coffee.
Step 2: Add
Add this mixture to the milk stirring very slowly until the dry ingredients are well dissolved.
Step 3: Boil
Bring to medium heat until it boils. Let boil for 1 more minute and remove from heat. Add the essence and butter.
Step 4: Cool and serve
Let cool to room temperature or refrigerate for a few hours to achieve a better consistency before serving.
Last step to make chocolate pudding: Preserve
It is recommended to transfer it to a container and cover it with plastic (film or vinyl) in such a way that it covers the pudding, and then store it in the refrigerator.
