Ingredients
- 400 grams of chickpea
- 2 tablespoons of wheat flour
- 1 big onion
- A garlic clove
- A small cup of coriander
- 1 small cup of parsley
- Salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- 2 teaspoons of cumin
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric
- Oil
Preparation
Step 1. Add
First you should know that the chickpea must be previously cooked, because you will need to puree it; put them to soak in water and finally, cook them in a pressure cooker for about 40 minutes. Clarified this, Add the chickpeas in a large bowl together with the flour, the onion, the garlic clove, the cilantro and the parsley all finely chopped. Likewise, add the cumin, turmeric and finally salt and pepper to taste.
Step 2. Mix
With the help of a fork or a masher, try to mash the chickpeas until they are like a kind of puree (a masita) and mix well so that all the ingredients come together.
Step 3. Fry
In a skillet or pot, heat oil. Make small balls of this dough (not very large in size) and fry them for between 3 and 5 minutes, depending on how toasty you want them to be. Once you remove them from the oil, let them drain on kitchen paper. Voila, your falafels are crying out for a bite! Bon Appetite.
