EXERCISES TO OXYGENATE OUR BRAIN

The brain is the most important organ we have, without it, we simply cannot perform any action. Our brain is in charge of carrying all the information to our body; controls our motor capacity, breathing and even our thoughts.

Maintaining good health will not only depend on our good nutrition, but also on the daily performance of cardiovascular exercises so that all our organs are oxygenated through the blood, and among these organs, is the brain. Good oxygenation is given by the new blood that is pumped through different veins and arteries, which are responsible for bringing it to the brain and converting glucose into fuel. This is why moving our body with exercises will be a great ally for the brain to function properly.

The reality is that all exercises that accelerate our heartbeat will help oxygenate the brain. This pumping of blood must last a considerable time for all our organs and muscles to be filled with new blood. Physical activity will be the key to this. Among the cardiovascular exercises that will serve to oxygenate the brain are:

To walk: This exercise is perfect for older people; It won’t be high impact and it will be perfect for getting the blood circulating. Do it in a pleasant environment, with proper breathing and without stopping. You can do this exercise even walking your pet, with a friend or family member, but always keeping up the pace.

Jogging: It is an exercise that not everyone likes, but believe me, it will not only do your brain and circulation good. It is scientifically proven that exercising eliminates stress, helps with depression and increases the production of serotonin.

These exercises must be performed every day, for a minimum of thirty minutes daily. Trust me, your body will thank you.

How to know when we present lack of oxygen in the brain? The lack of oxygen in our blood is defined as hypoxia, and is caused by poor blood flow. The symptoms of a lack of oxygen in our brain are:

Short of breath: When we run out of breath it indicates that we do not have enough oxygen. This can be caused by lung problems such as emphysema or bronchitis.

Lack of energy: The energy is given by the blood that carries oxygen to our entire body. When there is not enough oxygen, our body has no energy: we are exhausted and very lazy.

A clear example of a lack of oxygen is when we travel to places like high-altitude mountains. Being these places poorly oxygenated, we fill our body with empty air; which quickly leads to a loss of consciousness due to lack of oxygen.

Exercise every day and get your brain working at its best.
