Enterococcus faecalis natural treatment We recently received several emails requesting information about the natural treatment for enterococcus faecalis, but before giving an answer, we considered it necessary to briefly define what Enterococcus faecalis is and its symptoms.
Bacteria are becoming more resistant to antibiotics every day; situation that can become dangerous to health. An example is enterococcal organisms or enterococcus.
George Eliopoulos, of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, notes the following about this bacterium:
Ominously, in recent years enterococci resistant to multiple antimicrobial agents have become increasingly prevalent in the hospital setting. [… ] More than half of these enterococcal isolates showed resistance to tetracycline, levofloxacin, and quinupristin-dalfopristin; 28 per 100 were resistant to ampicillin and approximately 20 per 100 were not susceptible to vancomycin.”
“Even higher rates of vancomycin resistance have been reported from ICUs in the United States. […] Vancomycin resistance genes, originating from enterococci, have been found in several clinical isolates of S. aureus. This reinforces the concern expressed more than a decade ago that ERVs could serve as a reservoir of genes capable of transferring staphylococcal resistance to glycopeptides, the main antibiotics. [que nos quedan] for the treatment of infections caused by strains resistant to methicillin [SARM].”
No new antibiotics are being developed to combat these resistant strains. The most recent, tigecycline, entered the market in 2005. However, we are now wondering what are enterococci, really?
This genus was considered part of the streptococci genus until it was reclassified in the 1980s. Although both E. casseliflavus and E. raffinosus can occasionally cause infections in humans, the most problematic species are E. faecalis and E. faecium.
These enterococcal organisms are often highly resistant to antibiotics, especially in hospitals. They do not respond very well to beta-lactam antibiotics (penicillins and cephalosporins), to aminoglycosides or, increasingly, to vancomycin.
Enterococcal organisms can cause urinary tract infections, bacteremia, bacterial endocarditis, diverticulitis and meningitis.
The most important plants to combat them are the cornea, the cryptolepis, the bidens, the gingerechinacea, juniper berry, usnea, Artemisia annua, honey, licorice, oregano oil, and acacia.

Enterococcus faecalis natural treatment
Enterococcus faecalis natural treatment #1: Pour 1 tablespoon of ginger root, previously washed and chopped, in a cup of water and boil for 5 minutes. Cover and let rest. Strain and drink 3 cups a day. This remedy seems simple at first glance, but it inhibits the resistance mechanisms of these bacteria in a very powerful way.
Enterococcus faecalis natural treatment #2: Pour 1 tablespoon of cornea tincture (you can get it at botanical pharmacies or herbalists) in a glass of water and take 3 to 6 times a day.
Enterococcus faecalis natural treatment #3: Pour 5 drops of tincture of cryptolepis (can be purchased at botanical pharmacies or herbalists) in a glass of water and take 5 times a day.

Enterococcus faecalis natural treatment #5: Boil 1 tablespoon of chopped root of licorice and another of astragalus in half a liter of water for 10 minutes. Take throughout the day. This remedy should be avoided if you suffer from hypertension.
Enterococcus faecalis natural treatment #6: Pour 1 teaspoon of tincture of rhodiola (can be obtained at botanical pharmacies) in a glass of water and drink 3 times a day
Enterococcus faecalis natural treatment #7: Pour 15 drops of berry tincture of juniper and 15 tincture of bidens in a glass of water and take 3-6 times a day, depending on severity.
Enterococcus faecalis natural treatment #8: Boil a cup of water and then add 1 tablespoon of fresh leaves of echinacea or echinacea, previously washed, and leave at rest. Take 2 times a day. This remedy strengthens the immune system which helps fight enterococcus, but it should only be taken for a short time, such as a month.
Enterococcus faecalis natural treatment #9: Pour 1 tablespoon of black pepper in half a liter of water and boil. When it reaches the boiling point, remove from heat and let cool. Take, without straining, throughout the day. Black pepper contains piperin that helps fight these types of infections.
