Dropbox is an online service that allows you to store files in the cloud, also allowing you to share files and folders with other users. This service is offered by the company Dropbox, Inc., located in San Francisco, California (USA) and founded in 2007 by Drew Houston and Arash Ferdowsi.
Its services are: cloud storage, file synchronization, personal cloud and client software.
Dropbox allows its users to create a special folder on their computers (and other devices), taking care of keeping it in sync so that all computers that access that account can see the same content. It is also possible to access that folder using a web browser or mobile applications.
It has free and paid services.
It has its versions for Android, Microsoft Windows, Blackberry OS, IOS and Mac OS X (from Apple) and web browsers. Also Symbian, Windows Phone and Meego (unofficial).
