- Urinary tract infections: 4.4 to 11 mg doxycycline/kg body weight for 7 to 14 days
Please note that doxybactin therapy must be accompanied by a probiotic.

Even after completing the treatment with Doxybactin, you should continue to give your furry friend this probiotic for a few days.
What side effects can Doxybactin cause in dogs?
Although Doxybactin is primarily intended to help, of course, it can still lead to some side effects, such as diarrhea.
Inflammation of the esophagus can also occur as a side effect in some dogs.
These two side effects can be accompanied by increased salivation and – especially in very young dogs – tooth discoloration.
A very rare side effect of doxybactin in dogs can also be the so-called photodermatitis.
When should I not use Doxybactin in dogs?
The use of Doxybactin in dogs is not recommended if they suffer from liver disease.
