Do you know what your level of spiritual evolution is?

If lately you have experienced a different understanding of the world, as if something adjusted inside you and you were able to understand relationships that you did not see before, it is likely that your consciousness is undergoing a process of evolution. The first step in helping her move forward on her spiritual path is knowing what level of consciousness you are at. There are three states or levels that correspond to different stages of spiritual evolution for human beings:

1. Ordinary

At this level of consciousness, the suffering for the events of the past or the anguish for the future are constant. Our attention is focused on what we have experienced or on what will come and for this reason we cannot live in the now. At this level of consciousness the opinions of others have great importance, we hope to please and be recognized so we move away from the question «Who am I really?» to let others define us. At this level of consciousness, the obstacle to overcome is the ego, we must put aside our need to excel and be accepted to go in search of what truly sets us free.

2. Awakening of consciousness

We know that our consciousness has begun to awaken when we recognize that we are held hostage by our emotions, thoughts, and social roles, and we decide to break free. We stop depending on the opinion of others and our desire to learn and explain our environment becomes an urgency. This is the level at which we acquire self-control and autonomy. Little by little, our fear of rejection or the consequences of not meeting social expectations disappears. All our actions are motivated by love and the desire for self-knowledge. We understand that everything that has been created in the world is transitory and only what we create for ourselves will remain. At this stage we begin to discover who we really are.

3. Absolute freedom

This is the highest level to aspire to in the process of evolution of consciousness. The main characteristic of this level is the total acceptance of the present and the celebration of now. People at this level have freed themselves from the pain of their past (but also from the happy moments) and their expectations for the future, concentrating on living the present just as that: a gift. At this level you learn that true freedom consists in accepting life as it is, without judging or analyzing, but simply contemplating and gratefully accepting.
