Dessert-flavored diet smoothies

Learn how to prepare diet versions of the trendy drink: smoothies… but inspired by desserts!

You can find them in every neighborhood, they are sold in almost every shopping center, because they are the fashionable drink, smoothies! Is about smoothies, creamy drinks made from chunks and fruit juicesconcentrated or frozen, mixed with dairy products, ice cream or ice.

Although traditionally made with fruit, smoothies have migrated to other flavors and ingredients, from some dessert-inspired to some vegetable-based. Today we will give you recipes of the first, smoothies with dessert flavors but diet!

cinnamon roll smoothie

Although this smoothie tastes like a delicious dessert, it is low in calories (just 145) if you prepare it like this:

  • 1 cup of almond milk
  • 2 scoops of vanilla protein powder (can be casilan or other)
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 teaspoons of no-calorie sweetener
  • 1 teaspoon ground flaxseed
  • 1 cup of ice

Pour ingredients into blender, blend on high cycle for 30 seconds or until completely blended and thick.

mint smoothie

High in protein and flavor, this shake has the following ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup avocado
  • 1 cup fresh spinach
  • 1 scoop of whey protein powder
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 10-12 drops of peppermint flavor and/or 1/4 teaspoon of peppermint extract (you can use leaves)
  • 1 cup of ice
  • Diet chocolate chips (optional)

Place avocado, spinach, protein powder and milk in blender; blend until smooth. Add mint, ice and blend until thick. Taste and sweeten with stevia if needed.

Coconut Mocha Smoothie

With just 120 calories, this smoothie will have you lip-smacking…

  • 2 cups of unsweetened coconut water
  • 2 teaspoons of instant coffee
  • ½ teaspoon of unsweetened chocolate powder
  • 1 drop of coconut extract
  • Stevia to taste

In a large cup add all the ingredients; stir well, don’t worry if it doesn’t incorporate well. Place in a container and in the freezer. Every couple of hours scrape the mixture with a fork. Once frozen, take it out of the fridge to soften and then to the blender.
