• 1 • Desktop of the operating system. The desktop is the main work screen present in graphical operating systems such as Windows, Linux, Mac, among others. It is the graphical starting point for performing any activity within a graphical operating system.
The desktop typically displays icons for the user’s most frequently used applications, files, and shortcuts. It is also usually fully customizable in its colors, backgrounds, letters and icons.
• 2 • Desktop computer: type of computer, generally a PC, which due to its characteristics and dimensions is ideal for placing in a desk-type cabinet.
