Cruelty-free brands of cosmetics and personal hygiene products

The cosmetics and personal hygiene industry used to test their products on animals to make sure they were safe for humans. However, with the advancement of technology, these practices no longer have any justification. Today it is possible to generate cosmetics free of animal abuse, they deserve a decent life just like all living beings. This list shows the main cosmetic and personal hygiene companies that are free of animal cruelty.

Despite advances in cosmetics, many companies continue to test their products on animals. Perhaps in this scenario there is not much we can do, is there? To a large extent yes, responsible consumption is the most obvious cause to undermine animal cruelty.

Through what we consume we set the guidelines for a responsible industry. It is our duty as consumers to monitor what we buy. Thus, it is necessary to know the list of cosmetic and personal hygiene brands that are NOT free of animal cruelty, that is to say that they have tested their products on animals. As well as knowing those that show responsibility with the environment under a cruelty free policy.

PETA has a list of brands that have signed their statement of reliability. With this they confirm that «neither they, nor their ingredient suppliers, conduct, commission or pay for animal testing for ingredients, formulas or finished products anywhere in the world.»

By purchasing cruelty-free products, you’ll be helping to end the inhumane practice of animal testing.

  • Be careful with the labeling!

The labeling “cruelty free” It is not yet regulated by specific laws, so it is quite common to come across products that claim to be so. However, if it is not in PETA’s full database, it may refer only to the finished product. This implies that contain ingredients, formulations or procedures of suppliers that may incur in the practice of animal testing.

PETA recommends buy only products from their database of «cruelty free» companies. This database is managed with the highest security standards, to visit it just click here. Enter the name of the brand in the search engine and the base will tell you if it is cruelty free or not.
