This new format in the country and which is broadcast on Canal RCN, has managed to captivate the attention of a large part of the Colombian public. According to Kantar Ibope Media, the reality show has become one of the most watched programs at night because many people want to know what celebrities are hiding behind the identity of the striking costumes that they must wear at each gala.
Already during the first chapters it had been revealed that the cyclist Nairo Quintana had been the first eliminated and that the presenter Claudia Bahamón was the second figure who had to say goodbye. Then, the unmasked was Jorge Cárdenas and when viewers were eager to meet a new celebrity behind the costume, they had to watch a spark because his identity was not revealed.

Although the public thought that during each chapter there would be a recognized character eliminated, things do not seem to be so. During last Saturday’s chapter, viewers were upset when they did not know who was hiding behind the cat facade.
The gala in which Palenquera, Gato and Mono Tití were presented, had the particularity that the three characters were saved. The public decided that Mono should be saved and the jury, for its part, gave Palenquera a vote of confidence, so Gato had to say goodbye to the competition and show his real face. What no one expected is that the presenter, Piter Albeiro, said that the character behind the cat’s costume was also saved and would not have to reveal his identity.
From that moment, several of the outraged viewers criticized the production’s decision not to follow the rules of the game and even spoke of a possible «thread» to keep the character Gato on the show.
The inconvenience of the followers of the program increased because in Sunday’s episode, Armadillo did have to lose his mask by decision of the jury, which revealed that the actor and musician Alejandro Martínez was hidden in that costume.
Of course, what made many laugh and agree with others was Alejandra Azcárate’s comment that she was the oldest (speaking of age) among the jurors. After hearing Gato sing the song Mayores, the controversial jury had no choice but to assume that “I love working with young people… I am a pre-Columbian fossil.”
