Cosmobelleza, an unrepeatable space to find out about fashion trends

A great spring afternoon received in Barcelona one of the most exciting fashion events of the year in the sector, Cosmobelleza, which brought together the great beauty professionals from all over the world on April 11, 12 and 13 to show their news and mark the latest trends.

A little on the outskirts of the city, the pavilion, perfectly prepared for the occasion, mixed stands of all kinds of products, hairdressing, manicure, aesthetics, Personal Shopper, etc. Here we summarize what caught our attention from the experience:

1) The first afternoon was marked by the Tocado Awards, the oldest Spanish magazine (60 years), aimed at hairdressing professionals and entrepreneurs. Amongst all the prizes, Pascual Iranzo stood out, collecting the special Tocado Millenium prize for his entire career. Here you can read his profile as a hairdresser, in the most widely read paper newspaper in Spain.

2) The One Time Show. One Place, was presented as a great attraction of this edition. The idea of the organizers was to bring together three major local brands to show their work and creations. Those chosen were The Room Barcelona (sponsored by Matrix), Le Salon (sponsored by Aveda) and Handmade BCN Studio (sponsored by Kin Cosmetics). Three original proposals, José Lucker presented a collection based on the trends of the 90s, minimalist and with colors of great personality. Deni Toledo changed register with a collection that stood out for its geometry and original cuts and Handmade BCN Studio launched its Minerals collection, with colors inspired by minerals.

3) Xavi García, director of Salón44 Madrid, presented with Estravaganza, a collection inspired by three colours: Red, white and black. His risky proposal mixing trend, hairdressing and fashion surprised the entire public, remaining as one of the surprises of the edition. Bold looks adapted to the style of each client.

4) Although perhaps the most surprising of the moments of this edition was the show of his collection Lord Jack Knife and his Tweed collection, which showed all the secrets of the traditional barbershop in an original and groundbreaking proposal. Class and elegance came together on stage. Here is the video that summarizes his project.

These are the most outstanding demonstrations of the fair. But there was a lot and good to tell at a more domestic and not so business level. The simple fact of walking in the Cosmobelleza fair was already an experience (free if you requested it online). The most appropriate thing in Cosmobelleza is to spend time walking around and see what products and suggestions suit your style. This was done, for example, by El Blog de Lupi, which left his experience on YouTube. If you have time to organize it and you are passionate about beauty, you can pay attention to the events that take place throughout the year and plan ahead. Cosmobeauty is worth it.
