Coca-Cola: trick to wave your hair

Can a Coca-Cola bath improve hair texture for a wavy appearance?

It all started with a slightly tousled English model and the revelation of a secret. It is about the beautiful Suki Waterhouse (former actor Bradley Cooper), who in addition to acting in one or another movie and parading through the most important catwalks in the world, is known for her beautiful natural wavy hair.

Presumably, this model would have revealed that her trick to always wear a natural wavy was to take baths of nothing more and nothing less than Coca-Cola. It will work? The American youtuber Ellko, who tests the alleged viral beauty tricks on herself, checked it out on her YouTube channel, and determined that it is a «Holy Grail», that is, works.

On the other hand, the website Hairfinder.com, experts in hair care, explains that Coca-Cola would work to achieve this look, not so much because it makes the hair wavy, but because allows it to curl naturally.

Coca-Cola contains phosphoric acid, which makes it an acidic solution with a very low pH (2.5 for classic Coca-Cola). When applied to the hair, it causes the cuticle of the hair strands to contract or tighten, making hair appear smoother and shinier. This also means that the hair (especially hair prone to curl) will have a better natural curl.

How does it apply?
  • Put on comfortable clothes that you can stain and prepare a large container
  • With the container under your head, pour 2 Coca-Colas over your hair and leave for 5 minutes
  • wash your hair Some advise no shampoo, but specialists from hairfinder warn that washing with water alone would leave sugar residue
