class controller definition

In computing, a class driver (or class driver) is a type of device driver that can operate a large number of different devices that are of a similar type.

These types of drivers are widely used in USB devices that have the USB protocol in common) and devices with similar functions.

For example, there are various brands, models, and manufacturers of CD-ROM drives; in general a class driver can operate with multiple of these devices from different vendors (instead of a different driver for each vendor). For this to be possible, the manufacturer must adapt its products to standardized protocols.
