Although for many it was unthinkable that this product could be exported, the Chocoramo is a complete success in the USA and its price surprises many. The decision to innovate in the image of the cake is due to the expansion process of the Ramo brand and the search to conquer new markets.
Chocoramo will change its packaging and its name will vary a bit
Colombians are familiar with the traditional packaging of this delicacy, but abroad, criticism has become common in which it is compared to the image of soaps or cleaning products. For this reason, the brand is looking for changes in the packaging and, for example, they will make it completely closed without showing the cake inside. Also, they will add the name of chococake, a term that will make foreign consumers much more familiar with Chocoramo.
It should be noted that for now, this packaging will only be for the Chocoramo that is sold abroad and with this change, the company expects to increase its sales in the US market by 140%.
As for its price, it will continue to be in the United States, a country where it is worth 1 USD (more or less $3,700 Colombian pesos), while the popular Chocobrownie will continue to cost 2 USD (about 7,500 Colombian pesos).
