CHAKRAS: THE ENERGY OF THE HUMAN BODY

The word chakras comes from Sanskrit and means wheel. According to the Hindus, the chakras are centers of energy and do not exist in physical form; however, they have a strong connection to the physical body.

All the elements of the universe are made up of energy and the human being is not exempt from this. This energy is in constant movement and is located in different points of the body called chakras; each of these is closely related to the well-being of the person and, although there are numerous energy centers in the human being, there are seven main ones, in charge of keeping everything in balance.

The seven main chakras are located along the spine and each one, depending on its location, is related to some physical or psychological aspect of the human being.

First chakra (“muladhara”): It is located between the genitals and the anus. It is associated with the person’s sense of security and muscular strength.

Second chakra (“svadhisthana”): It is located in the center of the abdomen, right on the sacrum bone. It is known as the sexual chakra, since it stimulates the person to be able to love and maintain a healthy relationship with their partner.

Third chakra (“manipura”): Located between the solar plexus and the navel. It has to do with the feeling of well-being and self-esteem in the person.

Fourth chakra (“anahata”): It is known as the heart chakra, as it is located right in the center of the heart. It has a strong influence on the person’s ego, keeps the human being humble and provides harmony to his life.

Fifth chakra (“visshudda”): Being located in the throat is associated with the ability to communicate and creativity. It allows the human being to be able to transmit their ideas clearly.

Sixth chakra (“ajna”): Located in the «third eye» area, it helps the person pay more attention to their instincts when making crucial decisions in life.

Seventh chakra (“sahasrara”): Called the consciousness chakra, because it is located in the head or crown. It represents the connection of the human being with his consciousness and spirituality.

The energy of the chakras moves clockwise, when one of these is blocked, the direction of movement changes and the person can be affected physically or mentally. To avoid this, you must keep your chakras open and in balance, that is, in constant stimulation.

There are many ways to do it, among them we have: yoga, aromatherapy, gem therapy, meditation or acupuncture, to name a few.

If you are currently downcast, sick or have low self-esteem; there is a great possibility that one of your chakras is blocked. Try to practice some of the therapies mentioned above to get rid of bad vibes, that may be the perfect solution for your problems.
