Ingredients

  • 200 g of cassava starch
  • 300 g of cheese (it can be costeño, mozarella or parmesan)
  • A cup with 20 ml of whole milk
  • 60g butter, melted
  • Baking powder, equivalent to 5 g
  • two eggs
  • Salt to taste

Preparation

Step 1. Mix

In a large enough bowl, add the milk, the melted butter, the two eggs, the baking powder, the cheese and the cassava starch. Start mixing all these ingredients until you get a homogeneous mass, with the help of a spoon, a kitchen spatula or with your hands.

Step 2. Mold

Take pieces of your dough (about 50 grams more or less, that is, not so big) and form balls. Place each of them on a baking tray that is previously greased with oil or butter, leaving enough space so that they do not stick when they begin to rise in the oven. Cover them with a cloth and reserve for 30 minutes in the fridge or at room temperature. At the same time, start preheating your oven at 190°C for about 10 minutes.

Step 3. Bake and enjoy

After this time, now take your tray with the balls to the oven at the same 190°C for about 10 to 12 minutes, or until you see them well cooked and with a slight brownish color on top. Allow them to cool down a bit and that’s it, your pan de yucas will be the sensation! Enjoy every bite.
