The construction of BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh started in December 2016. So far, six spacious outdoor enclosures, three bear houses with indoor caves, a quarantine station and a fully equipped veterinary station, a feed kitchen and an administration building have been built. BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh currently offers suitable living conditions for up to 50 bears. The overall goal is to expand the sanctuary to 10 hectares and be able to accommodate a total of 100 rescued gall bears in the coming years.
So far we have been able to rescue and house more than 60 bears in BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh. Further bear rescue campaigns are already being planned.
Visitors are invited to share their journey with family and friends by bringing them a gift from BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh: The sanctuary’s own shop sells eco-friendly and locally produced souvenirs. At BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh, you can also sample traditional Vietnamese vegetarian and vegan dishes made from fresh, local ingredients at the on-site bistro while enjoying the serene view of the sanctuary.
