Aterciopelados pays tribute to Paro with their song ‘Scream’

The band Aterciopelados pays homage to Paro and to the marches that began on April 28 in our country.

With the song ‘Let’s shout’ the most influential group of Colombian rock makes a contribution and shows how through culture and music, they join the people in their voice of protest.

In the video of the song images of the protests that took place on May 28 were used in the framework of the National Strike.

‘Gritemos’ is the seventh release from his recent album ‘Tropiplop’ which was released last May.

This is the tribute of Aterciopelados to the National Strike

«Let’s shout who we are, and what we want, We know who we are, The light we have, Listen governments, This is the message, a single planet, It’s what we have…»

Apart from the lyrics of ‘Gritemos’.

On July 20, the band gave a concert as part of the programming organized by the unemployment committee and the CUT in Bogotá and they closed their presentation performing ‘Gritemos’ in the company of the batucada Barbukana.

It is a song that originally has to do with Fridays For Future of Greta Thunberg, this whole movement of the students who did civil disobedience to demonstrate for climate change and that the marches are becoming global, what happens is that all the struggles are becoming a single struggle…

Words by Héctor Buitrago about the song let’s shout.
