Dr. María José Castro, an expert in pathologies of eating behavior and professor at the University of Valladolid (Spain)warns that a 30% of anorexia cases resolvewhile a 20% “never heals”. In addition, remember, there are many cases in which, although the disorder disappears for long periods of time, a stress situation can «reveal it, even in short periods of time». In any case, anorexia can be prevented, he maintains. “The most important intervention in this type of disorder is prevention” since childhood, says the doctor.
