A cat has its favorite place outside on a windowsill, at a dangerous height.
As animal rights activists want to save them, they don’t know how at first. But when they finally succeed, they realize that the cat had a big secret.
Cat lives with 40 others
Cat Stratus didn’t have much space to himself. Like so many New Yorkers she also shared her home with other roommates.
In her case with believe it or not 40 other kitties!
The only place that «their» was was a narrow windowsill. And it was dangerously high above the ground.
as theirs Animal Haven Savior learned of her precarious situation, they rushed her immediately to help.
Stratus’ Owner was overwhelmed with the sheer number of cats in his home – and had asked the shelter for help.

Animal Haven initially brought 10 to 15 cats to the shelter. When the rescuers came to the house for the third time, they saw Stratus, sitting high above them, staring down at them.
Animal Haven wondered what the best course of action may be. And decided Letting Stratus come inside on his own.
«When the owner told us that she often sits on the window sill, we feared that we would scare her and then she would fall off,»
said Shannon McLaughlin Kirkman, an Animal Haven staffer.
«Even though it was a difficult decision, we decided to wait.»
Stratus eventually came inside as well.

But not because she really wanted to see her rescuers. No – Stratus was pregnant and she was in labour deployed.
When her rescuers finally found her inside, she had just given birth to her kittens.
«We were shocked – but we’ve seen far more shocking things,»
like Kirkman.
«We’re glad we let her come inside on her own. Because rescuing her could have been really dangerous if she was already in labour.”
