Is it true that a tall man is a better partner? Well science has its reasons, do you agree with them or does your experience tell you otherwise?
Although for many women tall men are more attractiveFor others this does not matter at all. However, science has ruled and has a decision: indeed, women prefer taller.
An investigation carried out by the Department of Biological Sciences and Psychology and The Open University revealed that in contemporary populations, tall men have greater reproductive success than shorter men.
But why is a tall man a better partner?
Like many gentlemen, the researchers wondered why women prefer them tall; To find an answer, they analyzed data from Britain’s National Child Development Study for children born in Britain in a single week in March 1958 and followed into adulthood.
So they found out that men who measure on average 1.83 meters are more likely to have a partner and children than men with an average height of 1.77.
The reason for this was given by researchers from the University of Utah (USA). They discovered that in a fight boys can hit harder if they stand on their two legs than if they are on all fours; also, hitting down and not up gives them an advantage in combat.
And how do men like women? Tall or short?
According to the authors of the research, height does not seem to have attractive consequences for men as it does for women, because for them height is not a positive criterion for choosing a partner.
