Sadly married or happily divorced?

A study revealed who is more satisfied with their lives, single, married or divorced.

Right now, when Valentine’s Day is over, is the ideal time to question some “truths” of love that we take for grantedsuch as the relationship between marriage and happiness, which has been the subject of so many newspaper articles.

We are supposed to get married to live happily as a couple, and when we sadly got divorced, we ended up in tears… But is it so? A new study published by The vanguard contradicts this belief.

The investigation was carried out by the German Socio-Economic Panel in Germany, from 1984 to 2003, with the participation of 65,658 people (men and women) between the ages of 16 and 59, and was dedicated to accurately measure personal satisfaction before, during, and after marriage.

“Three years before marriage, the women were unhappy: their level of satisfaction was below baseline. She increased, however, as they approached their wedding year and then regained a stable position during the second, third and fourth years of their marriage. In the fifth year unhappiness took possession of them. Five years after a breakup, women find stability four points above baseline satisfaction,” is explained in The vanguard.

In other words, after a divorce women are better off than when they were married and much better off than when they were single. That’s what the study says, but what is your case? Are you sadly married, single and in order or happily divorced? Vote here!

How are the men doing?
