15 years later, this is the truth behind the «Aserejé»
One of the most famous songs of the summer of 2002 finally has its explanation, after 15 years someone on Twitter dared to interpret the song by Las Ketchup that many of us did not understand.
Milky Silver Chance (@kueaff)is a tweeter and student of the old scriptures, who dismembered the two-thousander anthem “Aserejé” of the Ketchup.
sure, no matter how pre-millennial whatever you are, you remember that melody that took over the world’s radios and headphones in 2002 and that was danced like doing brain gymnastics. The success has sold more than seven million copies and it was only on August 20 that it fulfilled its first fifteen years.
Believe it or not, it turns out that babbling always made sense.
As if it were a quinceañera party a month late and through a series of tweets, Kueaff explained to the world what the hell Las Ketchup meant:
According to this information, the title of the song comes from a misunderstanding of the first words of the lyrics of “Rapper’s Delight”. So the phrase “I said the hip-hop” became “Aserejé”:
