Silly questions for Mark Zuckerberg, creator of Facebook

Social network users complained about the lack of interesting and controversial questions for the leader of Facebook during his visit to Colombia.

After Zuckerberg offered the Q&A conference on Wednesday, which took him about an hour, and despite the fact that some of the questions were previously sent by email to the people of Facebook, nonconformity in social networks was due to lack of creativity.

Having a character of the stature of Zuckerberg in the country is not frequent and that was what was most reproached. Added to this, it did not delve, to a greater extent, into topics such as the real business of Facebooksecurity reforms in the social network and what is behind the purchase of WhatsApp by Facebook, among others.

Perhaps, these questions could have been asked if the entrance of journalists to the university auditorium had not been restricted. Surely, these professionals would have taken advantage of the opportunity to obtain transcendental information from a source like Zuckerberg, who does not come to the country every day. In other words, a valuable opportunity was lost.

But the Javeriana was not the only scenario in which the communicators were relegated. At noon in the Palacio de Nariño a curious press conference was called in which the journalist was President Santos. The reason for these two facts is that the Zukerberg included among his demands to come to Colombia that he did not want to have any contact with the local press“something that his security entourage fully complied with,” reported Semana.

These are some of the questions that Zuckerberg was asked at the Javeriana:

  • What were you thinking when you created Facebook?
  • What do you think of Colombia?
  • How do you see Facebook in 10 years, could you compare it with a Google Glass in the future?
  • Why do you sometimes log out of Facebook and when you log back in you see the same thing?
  • What to do to not get bored on Facebook?
  • What do you think about the safety of Facebook for users?

The Javeriana situation was configured in an ideal space for Zuckerberg because he was not confronted. Thus, he only had to praise the ‘questions’ they asked him with an “Oh, that’s a good question” (“Oh, that’s a good question”); Y sell the idea that your social network is “an ideal world” that goes beyond a mere business.
