  • 5 eggs
  • 250 grams of wheat flour
  • 250 grams of sugar
  • 8 grams of baking powder
  • Lemon zest
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 50 ml of milk
  • 25 ml of oil

Preparation

Step 1. Mix the egg whites

The first thing you should do is open the eggs and separate the whites in a bowl. After that, you will have to beat them together with 125 g of sugar using a hand mixer. Then, add a first part of the sugar, beat and then add the rest until you get a creamy texture. In another container put the yolks and the remaining 125 grams of sugar, vanilla essence and lemon zest. Beat again and then add the milk and oil. You should not stop beating until you get a homogeneous mixture.

Step 2. Incorporate ingredients
