The series model Egothat the Italian manufacturer designed together with the architect Alberto Torsello, not only looks like a Professional Hospitality Kitchenbut is also equipped with powerful appliances and special characteristics, such as retractable plugs and a frying plate, which is known as Fry Top. To complement these elements with another prominent element – a modern «design object», as Bimer calls it -, the Polish designer, specialized in creating realistic visualizations in 3D, chose brushed stainless steel for its concept. In his opinion, this material is often undervalued and continues to be used mainly for hospitality kitchens, although «with proper treatment, it can create great elegance and homely warmth by reflecting the light and colors of the rest of the house.» This light is provided in the open plant kitchen for sculptural lamps created nothing less than by the father of the designer, the artist and sculptor Marek Bimer.

According to Simon Ertl, one of the founders and creatives of the study, there is no «most complex planning object in the domestic context than cooking.» And it is that the kitchen not only brings together a wide variety of functions such as cooking, eating and storing, but also – depending on the nature of the house – sometimes even washing clothes. Thus, the two opposite elements, water and fire or high temperatures, converge in a few square meters. To meet these requirements and, above all, the hygienic appearance, Ertlundzull designers chose robust steel sheet for the kitchen furniture and the island of the center of the stay, which can also be used as a small area to sit and eat at one end thanks to its open design. Another practical characteristic of this diaphanous design is that the kitchen can be easily expanded over time and that the most important utensils are always in sight and at hand.
