Process

Step 1. Sketch

The first thing you should do is take a notebook or recycled sheet and start making your sketch. In this you must put short notes, measurements and distributions of spaces such as rooms, bathrooms, rooms, etc. Draw each of these concepts with a mechanical pencil or pencil by drawing a rectangle and dividing segments into which each space in your house would go. Color these lines with a marker. Also include details such as what kind of materials you would use.

Step 2. Draw

Lay your sheet out on a flat surface and tape the edges so it doesn’t move. Using the pencil and the rulers, start making the sketch clean on the sheet, using the scale measurements with which you would like your construction. Do not forget to also graph the furniture that you will use in the house. Once you have finished drawing the entire plan, highlight the lines with the pen to give it greater dimensionality. Also, fill with the marker the spaces of the drawing where the walls go. Fill furniture, doors and spaces in common areas with color and finally add the measurements that walls, doors, furniture, etc. will have.
