Having a slender body is a desire for many, that’s why we submit to routines. The ashy diet is one of them, but you have to be careful.
It is not a secret that the body dimensions shown by the Disney princesses are unreal and impossible to achieve, therefore we would never be so short-minded as to take them as role models, but unfortunately some girls and adolescents are not so mature, so fail to distinguish reality from fantasy so clearly and pretend to look just like this kind of cartoon.
What is the ashy diet?
It is already a viral trend in countries like Japan. More than a diet, it is a kind of internet challenge, whose objective is that the body of young women has proportions similar to that of Cinderella and other Disney princesses, with a tiny waist in the middle of a figure that is too long. The foregoing, as reported by several international media, would be achieved by reaching a Body Mass Index lower than that recommended by doctors and nutritionists.
Healthy body mass is between 18.5 and 24.9, but it varies a lot depending on the constitution of each person. There is a scientific method to know if a person is overweight or very underweight, which is based on international standards created by health professionals.
Not everything is as they paint it on the Cinderella diet
Nevertheless, promoters of the Cinderella diet completely distort the original formula, resulting in a Body Mass Index of 18, something completely ridiculous and dangerous to health. According to them, you should square the height and then multiply the result by 18, so that a 1.70 meter woman should weigh 52 kilos, a totally absurd result!
“The Cinderella Diet is a Guaranteed Fail because it entails a very drastic food restriction to get a weight at any price ”, indicates in a report the nutritionist Andrea Arroyo, professor at the Open University of Catalonia, an entity that warned about this dangerous trend.
To have a healthy weight there are no tricks, but a change in eating habits accompanied by physical activity. If you have concerns about this, do not hesitate to consult a specialist. And share this note on your networks! You could save a life.
