Zeus lives on Mount Olympus, at the head of the new cosmic order that reigned after the fall of his father, Cronus. For its part, the Bilskirnir palace is the home of Thor, located in Asgard, where he is considered the most vigorous of the northern deities.

This particular god is enormously powerful and will soon be competing with gods from other mythologies to see who is the most powerful god of each and every mythology. Although he is depicted as a strong old man with a sprawling white beard and a white dress, he can take various forms when he visits other realms.
A legendary culture clash
The emperor’s story does not end with his incredible rise to power, he is also a main character in other special stories. First we tell the story of his daughter, who falls in love with a human shepherd, a situation that she avoided by creating the milky way to separate them, and allowing the couple to meet only once a year. This story of legendary history seeks to explain the phenomenon of the stars Vega and Altair at the moment when both are visible in the sky. The story is so important to the Chinese that they still have a major celebration in its honor: Qi xi, Valentine’s Day in China.
Another not so common story, but with a very present legacy, is the one that tells how the Jade Emperor created the Chinese zodiac. He was amazed by the animals, so he asked them to be his guardians and invited them to heaven. The story also teaches the rivalry between cats and mice, as the mouse went to heaven without telling the cat (despite asking), for fear that the cat’s beauty would outshine him. In the end, although the cat was left out (except in the Vietnamese version of the horoscope), the Jade Emperor gave all the animals one year, based on his order of arrival in heaven.

Apollo was among the most essential gods both to the Hellenes and to the Romans, and his worship was such that, in fact, it was among the few Greek deities that was completely transferred from Greece to Rome in the meantime that the Romans kept the name intact. Hellene. The differences were minor, while for the Hellenes his role as god of light was more essential, for the Romans his role as god of medicine and plague was more essential.
