Ingredients

  • 1 liter of milk
  • 1 liter of water
  • 3 tablespoons of cassava or cassava starch
  • Three tablespoons of wheat flour
  • Cinnamon stick and powder (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • A cup of condensed milk
  • ice to taste

Preparation

Step 1. Pour

The first thing you should do is pour the liter of water into the blender along with the cassava starch and proceed to blend until they are perfectly integrated. Once you have achieved it, reserve this mixture in another container. Using your blender again, now process the liter of milk with the flour; blend until well blended.

Step 2. Cook

Take a large pot, put it to heat and pour the mixture of the first smoothie you made there and add some pieces of cinnamon, stirring with low heat. Once this preparation has thickened, remove the cinnamon sticks and remove from heat, reserving in a container. Now, repeat all this same action in a different pot, but using the second smoothie you made (the one with milk) and without applying cinnamon. It will be time to mix the two preparations you just made and stir constantly for a few seconds. Remove from heat and let cool.

Step 3. Blend

Put a lot of ice in the blender and add the oatmeal right there (which should already be totally cold) – Also add the condensed milk and the vanilla essence. Process for a few seconds and voila, your Cuban oatmeal will be ready to enjoy.
