History: Jumping was created in 2001 in the city of Tabor, in the Czech Republic. Its creators, Jana and Tomas, developed the program to help a friend who needed to lose weight. In a home experiment they managed to create a routine, as well as the design of their main accessory: the trampoline with a safety bar. Once Jumping became famous among the 40 thousand inhabitants of Tabor, it was taken to the rest of the country and by 2006 it had already become popular throughout the Czech Republic. In a short time, Jumping Fitness became famous in the rest of Europe and then all over the world.
Method: the technique is based on High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). Each class takes place entirely on an individual trampoline with a clearance of approximately 20 centimeters from the ground. The routines include approximately nine songs, during which jumps are performed to different rhythms to develop a choreography. All the routines are planned so as not to create a risk of falls, so the main advantage of this training is that it can be done by anyone. It is even safe for those who have a slight bone problem, since the trampoline canvas absorbs practically all the impact of the jump, with which the joints do not suffer during the exercise.
Facilities: Jumping Fitness can be practiced indoors or outdoors, but the most common is to find gyms where classes are taught by certified trainers. It does not require a particular type of facility; it is enough that there is enough space for each participant to jump on the trampoline and move their arms freely.
Accessories: a jumping trampoline. This is hexagonal in shape and has a safety bar. Although some gyms use round trampolines, they tend to creak and the springs can even break. Therefore, the ideal is to look for a place where classes are taught with the most professional team. It should be said that these trampolines are used with tennis.
Benefits: This training pushes the body to the limit, since it uses more than 400 muscles in one session. It is more effective than jogging, boosts cardiovascular and respiratory resistance, and tones, above all, the lower part of the body (legs and buttocks). It also improves balance, concentration and coordination. On the other hand, it increases the function of the immune system and lymphatic flow.
Calorie Burn: up to 700 in 45 minutes.
