We’ve heard many times that the flu and colds come along with «body cut,» but what exactly does this symptom mean, and how do we know if we have it?
The cut body is what doctors also call «general malaise» and is the result of our body using all its energy, antibodies and reserves to fight a disease. The symptoms that distinguish the severed body are:
- Headache
- watery eyes and difficulty focusing
- Irritation in the nose and throat
- joint pain
- Fever (not always)
- Shaking chills
- weakness and tiredness
Other less frequent symptoms are nausea, dizziness, lack of appetite and pain in the lungs. You should know that you have nothing to worry about: the sensation of a cut body is normal in a viral condition (such as the flu or a cold) and, unless the fever is very high or the headache is unbearable, do not run any risk.
How can I get rid of this feeling?
We do not want to deceive you: there is no medicine yet that can cure the flu, but it is possible to combat some of the symptoms of a cut body such as runny nose or pain by taking an anti-flu. If you don’t like taking medication, these home remedies might work:
- Ginger, garlic and lemon tea
- Turmeric and honey tea
- Gargle with salt water or bicarbonate of soda
