Here’s How To Do The «Dele Alli Challenge», The New Internet Phenomenon

You may have seen in recent days an animated circle (or a video on social networks) with people trying to make a strange gesture with their hands. Or, if you already know what we’re talking about, you probably failed on your first few tries. The Dele Alli Challenge is the newest prank to take over the internet that no one will remember in a few weeks.

It all started with the player Dele Alli, midfielder for Tottenham and the English national team. If in the Cup in Russia he left something to be desired (he was one of the highlights of the team that had the third best campaign in the history of the country in the world cups), now he has become the most talked about athlete in football. That’s thanks to an inspired celebration.

After scoring a goal in his Premier League debut, the midfielder posed for the cameras with an inverted OK sign on his face. It didn’t take long for other players, artists and celebrities to start (or try to) imitate him.

There is still much speculation about the origin of the gesture. While some talk about supposed benefits for relieving pain in the nerves of the hands, others suggest that the movement has suspected Satanist and Illuminati connections. For now, what is known is that the challenge is not that simple. With that in mind, we’ve prepared a tutorial for anyone to look bad in front of the cameras.

Walkthrough for the Dele Alli Challenge

1 – Make an “Ok” sign with your hands.

two – Keeping the thumb and index finger straight and together, lower the other three fingers and bring them together.

3 – Now just turn your hand and place it on your eye so that the index finger is down and the thumb is up.

Still finding it complicated? The Mirror news portal made a very simple video tutorial to put the challenge into practice:
