Stan Lee died on Monday at the age of 95. The comic artist was the creator or co-creator of most of the superheroes that today make up the marvel cinematic universe (MCU) and the other franchises of the brand: Spiderman, Hulk, X-Men, Fantastic Four and Black Panther, just to name a few.
That little modest list, by itself, would be more than enough to turn him into the greatest legend in the history of comics. But Lee transgressed the nerd world managed to fix his face in the popular imagination by making small surprise appearances – in English, cameos – in every movie featuring Marvel characters since the year 2000 (even when they were characters he hadn’t created). No face appeared in so many blockbusters.
The president emeritus of Marvel Comics has also acted on TV: he was the narrator of the series The incredible Hulk and the drawing Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends and recently appeared in Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD It is Marvel’s Agent Carter.

Is he a Watcher?
Marvel fans have a theory that Lee would be the cinematic version of the Watcher – an ancient creature that inhabits the Marvel Multiverse with the sole purpose of observing and monitoring the planets where there is intelligent life. That’s why he’s in so many places at the same time (even in movies from different distributors, like Fox, Sony and Disney). the scene of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 confirmed the hypothesis. «We always thought it would be fun,» said Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige.
