1) BEHAVIOR
The Niffler is a small animal, but with a voracious appetite for treasure! Everything that is shiny attracts him. Therefore, many elves use it to get rich. He is even capable of becoming attached to humans, but when he is hunting for gems, he becomes very destructive. For that reason, it should never be kept indoors.

2) PAWS
It is known to be mostly underground, which explains its big claws. He uses them to build his nest about 6 m below ground level, to dig the earth in search of precious things, or in search of insects and earthworms – the main items in his diet, abundant in his habitat.

3) SNOUT
Native to the British Isles, the Niffler has a very keen sense of smell – just like the moles, which he resembles. In addition to being able to locate anything shiny hidden away, this sense allows him to orient himself in the subterranean labyrinths he builds. This kind of natural GPS is called “stereo smell”.

4) BELLY
The most amazing part of its anatomy is a small pouch on its belly, similar to that of a kangaroo. With the difference that she is enchanted with the Undetectable Extension Spell, which allows you to store an almost infinite amount of the items you “steal” around. Sort of like that Hermione bag!
