It is said that owners and their dogs often look alike.
In the case of Bobby and his 30 lap dogs, however, this wisdom is probably a bit wrong.
Because the trained man with a big heart has made it his mission to give Chihuahuas in need a safe home.

Bobby Humphreys is a handsome man. Muscled and with a shaved head, you wouldn’t necessarily have guessed him as someone who has a weakness for the smallest dogs in the world.
But that’s exactly how it is.
But he’s always been a pet person. In the past, however, three Rottweilers are the faithful companions at his side.
That was before his 17-year marriage fell apart, however, leaving Bobby heartbroken as well.
Severe depression and suicidal thoughts are the result. Luckily, his girlfriend Connie helps him through this dark time.
To everyone’s surprise, however, it’s not directly her that gives Bobby’s life a new twist and a renewed boost.
Small big surprise
But Connie’s Chihuahua lady. Bobby is supposed to take care of them for a while.
Uh, a chihuahua?
In the past he would have made fun of something like that. But he owes Connie a favor and ends up taking on the task.
Already at the first meeting, the cuddly Chihuahua lady wins Bobby’s heart. Without hesitation, she jumps onto his lap, breaking the ice between herself and the tall man.
The consequence?
Around 30 Chihuahuas are now romping around in Bobby’s apartment!
Because when the chihuahua lady’s mom returns and takes her home, Bobby realizes that he can’t live without the little puppy.
His first new love is the traumatized Kira. Countless other dogs with a difficult past or special requirements follow.

This is the birth of Big Guy, Little World Shelter.
“We rescue Chihuahuas who are living horrible lives, are abused, disadvantaged, disabled, have mental health issues, etc. We offer them a permanent home where they never have to experience abuse or anything like that again”,
explains Bobby, the big man with the even bigger heart. This project is a wonderful give-and-take—and incredibly cute to look at!
