Sadly, a newborn raccoon was left behind. Fortunately, the cute brat was found by a good Samaritan.

Lucy, as the little raccoon lady was christened, soon had her own caretaker, according to a report by iheartdogs.com.
Jaime, who has been an active member in the raccoon rescue community for many years, received a call all about Lucy.

The little mouse was still blind and had to be bottle-fed every few hours.
As if that weren’t bad enough, she also had trouble breathing and as a result had to be placed in an oxygen box on a regular basis, which she absolutely hated.
Despite all her initial difficulties, Jaime knew from the first look in Lucy’s eyes: This raccoon is a little fighter and wants to live.

One thing is clear: Lucy will never be able to live in the wild. But Jaime is determined to take care of her and give her the life she deserves.
Lucy can now climb trees and loves to hang out with her raccoon brother, Louie.
We are overjoyed that Lucy was found in time, before it was too late.
