name means: «Nice». When Cantik was rescued, she was missing her hair and wasn’t as attractive. She was named Cantik because we believed she would grow into a beautiful, healthy orangutan.

Bio: Cantik is currently at level 3 of FOREST SCHOOL. She learned a lot during her time with us. A really good sign is that she will reject less familiar people when she is worried and will seek them out to play when she is confident – this instinct will help her survive in the jungle. Cantik loves to play with the younger orangutans and she becomes a great role model for them – encouraging them to forage for new forest food and roost in nests. However, sometimes they are too immature for her, so she goes to Eska for more advanced games. They have a lot of fun, but he’s older and stronger than them and sometimes lashes out when he’s frustrated. The plight of the middle child!
Preferred leisure activities: Cantik and Eska love splashing each other wet and wrestling in the water!
