In Genesis 3:24 it says, “So he drove the man out, and he set up cherubim on the east side of the Garden of Eden. And a flaming sword that turned everywhere, to guard the way of the tree of life».
The cherub with the flaming sword was Uriel in Sumerian mythology and in Acadia there is a deity known as Asaruludu meaning «The bearer of the flaming sword» who according to mythology guarantees the most perfect security.

Azrael in religion
The angel of death appears in various religions under different names.
In biblical Christianity, nowhere do they point out that there is a specific angel of death. But traditionally, Catholicism has identified Saint Michael the Archangel as the one in charge of weighing and taking souls to the afterlife. According to tradition, Archangel Michael communicates with souls at the time of death to help them redeem themselves before they die.
In Judaism at least 15 angels of death are listed: Abaddon, Adriel, Azrael, Gabriel, Ha-Mavet de Malach. Hemah, Kafziel, Kesef, Leviathan, Mashhit, Metatron, Samael, Sariel, Yehudiam, Yetzerhara.
In Islam (according to the Koran), Izraíl is one of the four archangels – along with Jibril, Mikaíl and Israfil. They are the four highest angels on the throne of God along with the Throne Bearing Angels.
The latter along with the former are the last creatures to die in the Islamic End of the World at the hands of Azrael himself. That before taking his life at the order of God, he is asked by Him, «Who remains in my creation». And Azrael replies «Only your faithful servant my Lord.» And it is then that God orders him to take his own life to revive all of his creation, punishing in hell and rewarding in paradise.
