WALK WITH YOUR LUGGAGE IN NEW YEARS EVE

The Christmas and New Year bring, besides festivities, food and family gatherings, performing various rituals to bring good fortune, health and abundance in the coming year; among them is walking with luggage in New Year.

If to look out the window you see several neighbors with their luggage this is not about a trip, but one of the rituals practiced in several Latin American countries like Bolivia, Paraguay, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Venezuela and mainly in Peru, extended to other countries.

It is about walking with the luggage after the 12 chimes to attract new trips in the year ahead, whether for holidays, business plans or other desires consisting of traveling.

This ritual consists of doing several activities involving a suitcase, gather all the suitcases you have in home and do this ritual in a family game. Run with the suitcase, climb on a chair with a suitcase, take a tour around the house dragging a suitcase or take bags to the front door on New Years Eve.
