Spirit Guides are simply Spirit’s guides, advisors, and supporters who are available to assist you on your journey through life.
While we in the physical realm are largely unaware of the happenings within the higher realms of Spirit, there are an almost infinite number of beings that dwell in these spiritual realities.
The name “Spirit Guide” distinguishes beings that have positive and beneficial energies and have become known for providing guidance and offering assistance to physical beings on some level. There are many types of spirit guides, just as there are many types of beings in spirit form.
What is the mission of a spiritual guide?
Your mission is not as easy as it seems. The human being, when reincarnating and over the years growing up, loses the memory of what he learned in other lives. Everything that has already been done and happened, what our subconscious has stored -as if it were a great library- the beings of light help us to access it, because it is not so easy for us humans.
By not doing exercises related to keeping the intuitive and subconscious part alive since childhood, we are losing those memories, even those about our spiritual guides. Hence, not remembering our guardian angels makes it difficult for them to do their job: make us fulfill our destiny.
What kind of accompaniment do they do in our lives?
They accompany, support and guide all kinds of processes in the Souls incarnated on Earth, evolutionary processes, harmonious for the path, help the Souls to remember the sacredness of the Being, the uniqueness of the training and guiding support for the pachamama. They also make us, as Souls evolving to the Spirit, have the certainty of merit in good in all the Souls of the path.
Types
According to Theosophical doctrine, spirit guides are not always human in nature. Some spirit guides live as energy, in the cosmic realm, or as beings of light, who are very high level spirit guides. Some spirit guides are people who have lived many previous lives, have paid off their karmic debts, and have moved beyond the need to reincarnate. Many devotees believe that spirit guides are chosen «on the other side» by human beings who are about to incarnate and want help.
How to contact spirit guides?
ask clearly
Your spirit guides can guide you through any situation. There is no request too big or small: from healing your broken heart, finding your car in the parking lot, or meeting the love of your life, to receiving a valuable job offer. But since you have free will, in order for them to intervene you have to ask loud and clear.
Let go of expectations
The moment you let go of your expectations, your relationship with them will deepen. The reason is simple: it is when you will be truly open to receive their contribution in your life.
Meditate to tune your vibration
These beings are always willing to connect with you. However, aligning yourself to their frequency is not as easy a task as turning on the television and putting on a channel. Taking time to meditate with the specific goal of establishing this connection is a great way to encourage fluid communication between you.
Put your questions in a box
Write your questions or requests for help on small pieces of paper, fold them and put them in the said container. Thus, your attempts to connect will become more tangible.
ask for a sign
Choose a particular object through which you would like to receive information from your guides. It can be a decorative painting in your house or the leaf of a tree that grows in the surroundings. You will see how after a few minutes or hours, you will get the signal you requested. Perhaps the painting has moved slightly or even fallen (don’t panic, it’s the energetic movement). Also, the leaves of the tree could appear on your door unexpectedly.
Create a sacred space
It is also a good idea to dedicate a place in your house for this practice. It doesn’t have to be an entire room, far from it. It can be a window, the corner of a table, a garden area or a cork board where you place images of the things and events that you visualize.
Allocate some time to spend some time in silence in the location of your choice and ask them to contact you. Like any relationship, this one also requires you to spend quality time with it.
Call them in your dreams
Before you sleep, ask them to visit you while you rest in the arms of Morpheus. When you wake up in the morning, use your automatic writing notebook (also called intuitive) and start recording the messages that you have received (perhaps unconsciously). It doesn’t matter if you don’t remember clearly. Show that you are open and information will come to you effortlessly when you put pen to paper.

When dreams (and nightmares) seem real you can be sure that your spirit guides are trying to communicate with you. The meaning depends on the mental images that appear.

When out of nowhere you hear a song that seems to be responding to your call, to that question you hadn’t shared with anyone.
Words
When you ask these divine beings for advice and then immediately read messages that resonate with you in a book, magazine or on the internet, they are ‘talking’ to you.
have sharpened senses
Smell is the sense that most evokes memories, so if suddenly an overwhelming smell appears that evokes certain images in you, your guides are with you.
When you can’t explain why you know certain things
It is a form of intuition, an expression of the sixth sense that responds to the connection you have with your higher selves. Pay attention to what you feel.
