Nicholas Symmes Review: LG K51S Phone

This week I started testing the newly released LG K51Sa mid-range device, but I was pleasantly surprised by some of its technical specifications, comparable to those of a high-end smartphone.

The design of the equipment is quite interesting because it has a sober appearance, with a large screen that occupies a large part of the front space, with plastic material in its construction, but it is really very pleasant to hold in your hands.

In this case, the screen, which has a small and discreet camera hole in the upper left, is an IPS panel that has 6.5 inches with a resolution HD+, delivering a good screen brightness, and intense colors thanks to the technology that the panel has. I have tried several videos of Youtube Y Netflixwhere honestly I have not had any problem in the quality of the image.

The phone has a processor Octa Coreuntil 2.3GHz (MT6765) and a RAM of 3GB, delivering a stable and fast team in its day-to-day operation. But beware that if you want to load games that need too much demand, obviously this equipment is not designed for you. In addition, it has an internal storage of 64GBwhich obviously you can expand with an external card up to 2TB.

The operating system that comes with the cell phone is Android 9.0with a battery of 4,000mAh, which is the current average for a mid-range computer. To be fair, I think it lasted me about 8 hours the charge, despite the fact that the day I first turned it on, I used it for almost a full morning without recharging in between.

But by far the most important thing about this new LG smartphone is the cameras. In fact, at its launch in Chile, we tested the quality of the photographs in a kitchen zoom event, where we put together different food options and photographed them with the help of an expert in the area. The quality of photos is interesting and how to take advantage of the cameras that this terminal brings.

The phone brings a total of four rear cameras, where you will find a main lens of 32 megapixelsa wide angle 5 megapixelsa macro of 5 megapixels and a depth lens of 5 megapixels. Within the options, you will be able to take pictures with a fairly high quality to be a mid-range equipment, something that for me is by far the additional plus of the smartphone (Price – Quality).

I think that by having good lighting in the scene, the photographic results can be ultra good. In addition, the equipment comes with AI that allows you to automatically detect the type of scene, automatically improving the photos. I also recommend that you use the portrait mode, which as a fact also works in food photos (we discovered it at the launch event).

At the front, we can see a camera 13 megapixelswhich is perfect in selfies and video calls, which are so constant in recent months due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

In short, it is a phone designed for someone who really likes photography, with thousands of options to create very interesting material at a fair price. The performance in general is good, but as I said above, I think it is ideal for a user who does not like to install games with great hardware and software needs. Recommended equipment.
