This week I reviewed one of the most powerful cell phones on the market, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra BTS Purplewhich is inspired by the South Korean band of the genre of k pop. I have to be honest with you in telling you that I didn’t know this group at all, but I admit that after listening to several of their songs, they stuck with me.
In fact, the BTS group is so furious in the world, that Samsung launched a special edition focused on them, where you can see some characteristic details of the group, starting from the purple back. Among the novelties of this Galaxy S20 Ultra BTS edition, we can find pre-installed themes of the band, along with inserted material of the group (exclusive photographs). In addition, the iconic design of the purple heart of BTS, which by the way is very similar to the color of the Galaxy Z Flip. And on the back, we have the group’s logo, where we can see a heart in the part of the cameras.
I must say that the phone is the same in terms of features as the Galaxy S20 Ultra, which has the latest processor created by Samsung, the Exynos 990 that includes a 5G chip. We have 12 and 16 GB of ram, something that positions it as an extremely powerful device in its operation.
As data, the Galaxy S20 Ultra come for the first time with an OLED panel and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, allowing to achieve a stability and fluidity of the screen that really impresses. In practical terms, using the phone and moving around on it is a delight for your hands.
The size is not a minor item, this because we have 6.9 inches, something that in my opinion is perfect, because there is nothing better than having a large screen available all the time. I tested its quality in different scenarios, even exposing it to direct sunlight, and I must say that it did not fail at all. The screen item is by far one of the great attributes of this new model of the South Korean brand, where it is appreciated that it does not have curves as pronounced as in previous models.
Another important point is the large number of cameras that this equipment brings. We have a 108 megapixel sensor with an angular lens with aperture and optical stabilization. A wide-angle camera with 12 mp and an aperture lens. In addition, a telephoto lens with f / 3.5 aperture and optical image stabilization with a 48 megapixel sensor (0.8µm pixels) and a depth sensor.
We can see an evolution in terms of the performance of the four cameras of this Galaxy, where we have photographs with realistic colors, a very good dynamic range in general and a great vividness and contrast that looks great on the screen. Basically, the resolution is very high, where even when cutting a photograph, we can find many details that we may not notice when taking it.

Here I want to highlight the night mode, which manages to get a great photo in an almost dark setting, something that is necessary today with the fanaticism of selfies at all hours. As for the video quality, we have 4K recording.
The battery has 5000 mAh, which allows you to have a full day charge. It comes with 45W fast charging (cable not included). I must say that I have had no problems with battery life, even using the phone at 120 Hz on the screen.
The sound is stereo, delivering high quality, surround sound, and with speakers with a very good dynamic range. This item is important to me because I like to play with loud sound, or listen to music from my phone during the day.
In summary, we have a team with a series of very high-end features. I rescue the big screen as a key point, something that when you have the cell phone in your hands, I must say that it is quite impressive. On the other hand, Samsung already comes with a lot of know-how in terms of cameras, where we have four in the back, each one delivering unique functions to be able to do whatever comes to mind with them. The drums are powerful and as the Denisse Rosenthal song says, «it lasts much longer». Recommended.
