Process/task name: Host Process for Setting Synchronization
The SettingSyncHost.exe file and process belongs to Windows 8 and 10. It usually connects to the internet to synchronize our Windows with other Windows that we have. Sometimes this causes our firewall to jump warning us of said strange connection.
Consumes 2.2 MB of memory overall.
It is located in the folder:
C:\Windows\System32
To disable this process, search the Start menu for the program Synchronize settings.
There will be displayed the Microsoft account to which we associate Windows and all the features that we can synchronize. This allows us to keep all our Windows from different devices with the same theme, passwords, language preferences, internet explorer settings, etc.
If we disable all these features the program should no longer connect to the internet to sync with the Microsoft account.
Starting with Windows 10 there is an option called Sync Settings. If we deactivate this option, all the rest will be deactivated.
