Hello, I have contracted 2 megabytes, how many mbps are they?

The so-called 2 megabytes of Internet download speed is equivalent to 2 mbps (megabit per second) or 2000 kbps (kilobits per second). It is incorrect to call them «mega», but it is the name used by companies to promote them.
To clarify the many, 1 «mega» equals 1 mbps (megabit per second) which in turn equals 1000 kbps (kilobit per second).

– bps (bit per second)
– kbps (kilobit per second) = 1000 bits per second = 125 bytes per second
