Uncompressing is the reverse process of compressing. In general, compressed information must first be uncompressed before it can be accessed, read, or modified.
In general, compressed files can be uncompressed with the same program that was used to compress them. For example, .zip .rar compressed files can be uncompressed with WinRAR, WinZip or similar programs.
