Definition of Ctrl (key)

(CTRL or Control). The Ctrl or Control key is a key that must be pressed together with another key to work (modifier key). Other modifier keys are Shift and Alt.

The clearest example is Ctrl + Alt + Delete.

The Ctrl key is a modifier key, it is always used in conjunction with other keys.
