When in a form or in a text field we are asked to enter alphanumeric characters, it means that we must write only letters and/or numbers. That means alphanumeric. I suggest reviewing the full definition in our Computer Science Dictionary: Definition of Alphanumeric.
So an alphanumeric word means that the word is only made up of letters from A to Z and/or numbers from 0 to 9. Keep in mind that in many cases accents from Spanish or other languages are not allowed as alphanumeric.
In your case they are asking you for a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 15 characters that are letters and/or numbers.
For example:

siJuan2123
John12John15
They are all examples of alphanumeric words (letters and numbers) that have more than 8 characters minimum and less than 15 maximum.
NOTE: A very common query regarding alphanumeric characters has to do with alphanumeric postal codes. Keep in mind that in recent years many postal codes have been updated in different countries, which were originally only made up of numbers (they were numerical postal codes) and now also include letters, which is why they are called alphanumeric postal codes.
